Istanbul.Turkey.-The Syrian Coalition strongly warns the international community of the serious consequences and the ongoing systematic violence Assad is deploying against Syrian civilians. In an attempt to affirm his military strength Assad continues to target random places across Syria and launch heavy attacks against populated areas. This falls in line with Assad's policy of reprisal against civilians. Therefore, the Syrian Coalition emphasizes the importance of restraining Assad and holding accountable all those who committed crimes against humanity in Syria.

The Assad regime has carried out an appalling attack against innocent civilians in Aroum Al Kubra, rural Aleppo, killing at least 10 civilians and injuring dozens. Assad’s military aircrafts have hit populated areas with the internationally prohibited phosphorus bombs and Napalm.

Assad forces have also attacked Ariha, rural Idlib, shelling populated areas and launching rockets on innocent civilians killing and injuring hundreds. The number of those buried under the debris is yet to be known.

The systematic shelling of populated areas, as well as the targeting of civilians, is a grave infringement of international law. The destruction of Syria and the slaughter of innocent Syrian civilians must be stopped immediately.
